Foto trip to Morocco
In mid-February I visited Morocco, which has long aroused my curiosity because of the many stories narrated by my friends visited this country before. Initially the expedition was to lead to Mauritania, but because of lack of time could not leads…
Morocco is a country where Arabic culture clearly mixed with European. For me it is the environment in which I feel very well because I love the buzz in the Medina, at the market, at the store …. this conversations…..or as others prefer “to bargain at the store”.
For Europeans, this behavior is perhaps a little odd, certainly intrusive and unpleasant for the most. But for me this is opportunity to meet many curious people. You only have to undergo the atmosphere and to derive satisfaction from the possibility of being with local people.
Our trip began and ended in Marrakesh, about which I will write a separate post. However, our goal was a trip into the desert…into one of the largest sand dunes in Morocco – close to Merzuga. It’s quite a popular place for tourists, however, in this period when we were, this is a refuge of peace and almost extinct village. Along our way we visited several small towns and villages where we could feel this ordinary, North African’s life.
One day we met Hassan, who really helped us and provided knowledge about moroccan and African people’s life, current political situation, history and many other practical information to help Europeans in the Arab country. It was he who led us to the old casbah in Errachidia. There we met a whole crowd of happy, smiling kids who at the very beginning were very shy and skittish but with Hassan, we managed to build a little thred of beliefs …..
Check it out …….
